At the round table, the possibilities of better involvement of civil society in the development of local communities were examined
It is organized by the Association for the Development of the Ibar Valley in Vrnjačka Banja on 29.12.2025. held a round table "Systematic involvement of civil societies in the processes of creating local policies in Serbia".
The round table is the first in a series of round tables that aim to encourage dialogue on the involvement of civil society in the creation and implementation of policies at the local and regional level.
The round table was attended by civil society organizations (CSOs) and representatives of the public sector, including local governments, regional development agencies and other public institutions.
During the round table, the participants first got acquainted with the legal framework and practices of the involvement of local organizations in the creation of local and regional policies. In the continuation of the round table, the participants in smaller groups discussed the current situation and the possibilities for improving the participation of the civil sector in the aforementioned processes.
Defined recommendations during group work were presented in the plenary part, and on that occasion key conclusions and recommendations were agreed upon through dialogue.
The round table was conducted within the project "Center of Excellence in Civil Participation for Local and Regional Development in Serbia" (eng. Center of Excellence in Civil Participation for Local and Regional Development in Serbia), which was financed by the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia. The project is implemented by InTER Belgrade, Ibar Development Association "IDA" Kraljevo and LAG "Srce Bačka" Kula.
