A press conference of the project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN" was held in Pljevlja on June 7, 2021.

The project partners held a press conference, during which they presented the achievements of the project and their importance for reducing climate change and the use of renewable energy sources.

Final conference of the project "WE CAN" in Kraljevo

Within the project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN", a closing conference of the project was realized.

During the two-day closing conference held on June 3rd and 4th, 2021 in Kraljevo, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the results of the project.

On that occasion, the representatives of the municipality of Pljevlja had the opportunity to meet with the representatives of the city of Kraljevo, led by the mayor.

Consultative workshop on the proposal of the curriculum for environmental education on the use of renewable sources, climate change and environmental protection

Within the project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN" in order to improve youth education about the environment, the project prepared a curriculum for environmental education and organized a consultative workshop "Energy efficiency and the use of solar energy to reduce the negative impact on climate change."

Realized educational workshops for primary and secondary school students in Berane, Pljevlja, Raska and Kraljevo

In order to improve young people's knowledge about climate change and renewable energy sources within the project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN" organized a series of educational workshops in primary and secondary schools in cross-border area Serbia and Montenegro .

Invitation for consultations on the curriculum for environmental education

Within the project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN", a regional educational program was developed to reduce the negative impact on climate change, which creates preconditions for better environmental education of students and the wider community.

Call for consultations on regional cross-border priorities in reducing greenhouse gas emissions

The project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN" defines regional cross-border priorities in reducing greenhouse gas emissions in order to improve regional cooperation and coordinated action to reduce the negative impact on climate change.

Within the cross-border project "We can", a methodology was prepared for determining the price of heating of the company Grijanje d.o.o. Pljevlja based on the consumption of thermal energy of the end customer

Within the project "Reducing the impact of local communities in the cross-border region of Serbia and Montenegro on climate challenges - WE CAN" in order to improve regional cooperation and coordinated action to reduce the negative impact on climate change, based on the existing experience of JEP "Toplana" Kraljevo a document has been prepared “Methodology for determining the price of heating of the company Grijanje doo Pljevlja on the basis of the final customer's consumption of thermal energy ".

Primary schools in Pljevlja and Berane are supported in equipping green cabinets

Within the project "Reducing impact of local communities of the cross-border region of Serbia-Montenegro to climate challenges - WE CAN" in order to improve young people's knowledge about the possibilities of reducing the negative impact on climate change by using renewable sources and increasing energy efficiency, donated equipment for green cabinets.

Elementary school in Guka equipped for heating with renewable energy

About 300 students attend classes in the school building of the primary school "Salko Aljković" in Guka (Pljevlja). Until 2019, coal was used as an energy source for heating the building. With the cooperation of the elementary school "Salko Aljković" and project partners on the project " Reducing impact of local communities of the cross-border region of Serbia-Montenegro to climate challenges - WE CAN", a new 250kW boiler was installed which uses pellets as an energy source.
